I release my ongoing and past thoughts through painting, drawing, scribbling, and puzzle-solving - attempting to find answers I either can’t express or don’t wish to show. As I paint, I engage in a continuous conversation with my mind, allowing my subconscious and preconscious to surface.

I don’t paint for the final product; I paint for the relief. The forms I create represent moments, feelings, and interlocking connections. Sometimes the paint isn’t dry, but I need to keep going, so I’ve learned not to be precious—there’s always another canvas.

The absence, and presence, of sound enhances this process. My sensory experience informs the rhythms, patterns, and idiosyncrasies in my paintings, allowing colour and form to become my primary means of communication. I rely on them to convey what my words can’t - a richer expression of my inner experience.
